Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio configurator goes online

Fans in Europe will reportedly wait until the middle of next year before they can peel away in the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, and Australians will wait even longer. But, for those who just can’t stop thinking about Italy’s latest hero, Alfa’s American arm has handed down some basic relief: a mini configurator.

Although not fully set up with pricing, Alfa Romeo USA’s configurator allows fans and hopeful buyers to experiment with colour and wheel choices - and that’s gotta be better than nothing. (Unless you can’t wait, in which case you’ve probably already ordered an M3 or C 63…)

The US-market Quadrifoglio will be offered in two shades of red (Rosso Alfa and Rosso Competizione Tri-Coat), two metallic greys (Silverstone and Vesuvio), Trofeo White Tri-Coat, Vulcano Black and Montecarlo Blue.

Two aluminium 19-inch (19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear) wheel designs will be on offer - the straightforward Tecnico and the iconic 5-Hole - each available in dark and light finishes.

In the cabin, there’s three core colour options - black on black, black on red and black on white - along with red, black, and green on white stitch options.

Standard exterior features, along with the 19-inch wheels, include bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime lamps and LED rear driving/brake lights, a carbon-fibre front splitter and rear spoiler.

Inside, there’s an 8.8-inch infotainment display with satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, a wifi hotspot and reversing camera, along with dual-zone climate control, four-mode drive selector, and sports seats with carbon-fibre elements.

A 900W Harman Kardon stereo system can be added as an audio upgrade, and there’s also the choice of full carbon-fibre Sparco high-performance front seats. Carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes can also be added to the package.

For this writer, it’s the white body, black Tecnico wheels and yellow brakes, matched to a black cabin with that classic leaf-inspired green and white stitching.

CarAdvice associate publisher James Ward wasn’t having a bar of that, though. For him, it’s Montecarlo blue on the dark 5-hole wheels and classic red callipers, against the black cabin with red stitching.
