Toyota Corolla 2006Toyota has improved the already successful Toyota Corolla with more safety features and better value for money. The Toyota Corolla has been fighting for Australia’s best selling car title with the Holden Commodore and from the latest figures it seems that the Corolla is ahead of the old and soon to be replaced Holden Commodore.

Toyota has decided to play the safety card with its model upgrade by giving away better safety features for a minimal price increase. For only an extra $140, the Corolla Ascent and Corolla Ascent Sport now have a standard front passenger airbag and front power windows. You can also now opt out for ABS on the basic Ascent model for $900 compared to $1400 before.

Interestingly, the Toyota Corolla Wagon will cease production in August. As demand is slowing and Toyota is trying to push the Camry Wagon as the choice for Wagon buyers.

Corolla Ascent $19,990*,
Corolla Ascent Sport is $21,490*. now features 15-inch alloy wheels.
Corolla Conquest $23,990* now includes ABS anti-skid brakes as standard.
Corolla Levin - $27,890*
Corolla Ultima - $30,150*
