Run-out versions of Citroen Berlingo are now available with savings of more than $4500 as the French brand prepares to launch an updated version of its compact van later this year.
Citroen Australia is offering driveaway prices on remaining stock of its diesel-powered Berlingo long-body vans, advertising them for $26,000 for the five-speed manual and $30,000 for the six-speed semi-automatic.
The offer also includes a $500 fuel voucher, taking the maximum potential saving to $4671 based on NSW pricing (on-road costs vary from state to state).
The five-door Citroen Berlingo is powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 66kW at 4000rpm and 215Nm at 1500rpm.
The automatic is more fuel efficient, using 4.7 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres on the combined cycle, compared with 5.7L/100km for the manual.
Standard features include twin sliding side doors and rear barn doors, tinted windows, a tilt- and reach-adjustable steering wheel, driver’s airbag, electronic stability control, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, and a full-size spare wheel.
Passenger and front side airbags are a $500 option, as are rear parking sensors.
The offer applies for Berlingo vans purchased before the end of October, or until stock lasts.
Revealed earlier this year, the 2016 Berlingo benefits from a subtle redesign and a significant technology boost including a 7.0-inch touchscreen media system, a reverse-view camera, and a city braking feature that can help avoid an impact at speeds up to 30km/h. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
