Poms- have to be good for something other than miserable weather, pale skin, bad hygiene, decent cuisine, resale values of their fine if running automobiles and WARM BEER;)

So now the Poms have the fastest trackday car as well as the best luxury car (Rolls Royce Phantom), the best (not the fastest) supercar (McLaren F1), the trendiest car (Mini), the best looking car (Aston Martin) and the highest 2009 JD Power owner satisfaction (Jaguar XF).

You lot meanwhile have to put up with the Commobore, the Failcon and the Toyota Crapmy….

I shall now retire to the pub and enjoy the flames/abuse…. :-)

There is one Ring record that still stands and I believe will never be broken(I should clarify this is in the RACING category) – The record is held by the fearless Stefan Beloff. His qualifying lap of 6min 11.13 seconds on May 28, 1983 showed a total disregard for his own life. He was driving a Porsche 956 and if you search I believe you can view it on youtube. Its not good quality video but its still jaw dropping.

Tragically his fearlessness cost him his life a couple of months later on Eau Rouge Corner.

He was, and remains, The King of the Ring.

I hope nobody ever gets close to Stefan’s time, in the racing category or production category or any other category!

The Radical’s time is certainly amazing, but to me, a production car should have a roof, or at least one that folds away!! Not dissing the Radical, its a beast.

Nice toy if money was no object. Incredible lap time but a bit expensive for whats essentially a kit car. With that body height, you would never need to pay at a parking station again!
