Video: Gumpert Apollo S sets ‘Ring record
August 20, 2009 by George Skentzos
The Nürburgring has a new record holder with the Gumpert Apollo Sport lapping the benchmark circuit in a staggering 7:11.57, more than 10 seconds second clear of the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR.
Only the barely street-legal Radical SR8 has topped this lap time in the production car stakes, but the fact that the Apollo S has a roof, leather interior and air-conditioning makes it far more impressive.

mother of god.
stupid name.. tough car!
It’s stuck on fast forward… how do I slow it down? :o)
It was great on you-tube, would have been insane shotgun!
Incredible stability at such speeds
What an extraordinarily composed car.
Beat the record by 10 seconds! Was the Dodge driver having a cuppa or something?
