Alex- Your comment is not based on facts, but purely conjecture. Porsche’s financial standing has been the envy of the automobile world for many decades, long before the Cayenne was launched.

That is looking very nice. And its a good thing that Porsche increased their warranty to 3 years now. I hope the standard equipment levels improve also.

Flying High, that would be a stupid thing to do. Whether you like the Cayenne or not (and I’ll assume you’re a not), the fact is that Porsche have sold about 300,000 of them since launch and it put the entire brand in a far more confident position financially. If they had never made it, who knows what state Porsche would be in right now not to mention the fact that profits from the Cayenne no doubt go toward making more impressive sports cars.

It’s shaping up to be a very nice looking car. It’s well proportioned and I think they’re doing a much better job of it this time.

davie, CX7/9 is what first came to my mind too – but its just clever sticky-tape work on the 3rd window (c -> d pillar) too bad it looks better than the real design underneath!

interesting to see what off road capability it has in next gen guise. Will it still have a transfer case?

An observation, that size shot (2nd picture) is very similar to a Mazda CX7 or CX9
