I really do want to like the Golf. I do. By any logical measure it should be a winner. But ho-hum…I hope it looks less lame in the flesh.

Mmmm, very tempting. Has the same front grill treatment as the Scirocco R, looks as if the tail lights will be LED (Worthersee GTI concept). They need to pump the guards out!, it will not get those GTI wheels. Anyway at least it will be lighter, faster and more economical than the R32. C’mon VW Australia take off your cardigan, bring in on!!

Would be interesting if they actually release this car with those specs as this would have better performance than the current S3, which would be dearer. As Audi/Volkswagon are the same company, i’m not too sure whether this will go ahead.

Same motor as in the TT-S? TT-S nudges 100K, so this new R20 Golf will probably be a lot dearer than the outgoing R32.
