New 2008 Ford Falcon Orion Computer Generated Pictures

The Herald sun have been hard at work over the last week, first it was the leaked photos of the new Series III Mitsubishi 380 Sedan, and now, the Herald has published photos of the new Ford Falcon:
The Herald Sun claims that these computer generated images were disposed of after an FPV meeting, soon before being stumbled upon by an eager reader.
If this is true, the production version, which is set to hit showrooms early next year (probably in time for the Melbourne Motor Show – March), may very well be near identical to what you are seeing now.

Images show the GT and GT-P from Ford’s performance stable, FPV, along with images of the F6 Typhoon.
Comparing these to our spy photos of the Falcon GT, there is a very noticeable resemblance.
The computer generated images sourced by the Herald Sun show what is most probably an early design of the Orion. Our spy photos and sources indicate the upper models – such as the FPV GT-P (pictured) – will feature Xenon headlights, cross-drilled and slotted brakes, along with new wheels.
A stripe package will also probably remain for the Orion Falcon, considering the big uptake of the option on B-series FPV GTs and GT-Ps.
Ford Australia have declined to comment on the images, stating that they are simply pretty images and that we should all wait until the final product is released. One thing is for certain though, all the publicity is revving up fans of the blue oval marque.

A nissan or a BMW couldn’t stand a chance againts those V8 beasts on the track. They are super car category built to a certain standard and their performance is in a higher level than a Nissan or BMW.

im a holden fan, but dont hold that agenst me. i must say those gt’s look realy flash, but i reckon that the ba/bf gt’s look better, just wat i think any way

G’day All. Be interesting to see the response as this hits the market. Certainly has the potential in the looks dept. to score well. Mechanically, no contest against the other big ‘aussie’ producer. Never has been, and as an ex Holden dealer mechanic, I know.
Would I buy one? Probably not. I’ll stick to my ‘71 XY GS Fairmont (as much as the wife would like power steering!).

Holden comodore is doomed here in aus. There sellin em over in usa as pontiacs. Large car sales are slowly evaporating cause everybody is buying small fuel efficient cars here. Ford falcon will be still badged as a Ford falcon in USA and always use Ford parts on em. Commodore is doomed . No wonder commodre will slowly fade away cause yanks have never heard of a commodore only Pontiacs. HAHAHAHAH to holden . Remember its always the badge on the car that people always look for not wat they think a car really is and where it comes from. GO FORD 2008 ORION doing much better than GM or holden or watever brand of car that is..

Love the new orion falcon, this falcon will be a great car all round, looks like it means business. By looking at these pics above, its good to see they haven’t gone with the rediculous looking flared guards the ve commodore has! 205kWs in the base falcons and talks of 320kWs in the new gt’s too! maybe a blown HO….?? ooww YEAH! GO FALCON!!!
205KW and 395Newton meters of torque is just way ahead of all the others. I knew Ford will bring out a car that will humiliate all the others. And thats only your base Falcon. Kill em all ford.

I agree with most comments in that yes commodore have copied the european look and ford have always tried to keep that typical aussie look. On the design , no one has seem to mention the aerodynamics of the new design which seems to be getting away from that box look and what with commodores 1 billion dollar car it looks like holden are turning in that direction. In comparison the new ford definitly looks stylish compared to the overgrown look of the commodore (sorry BRICK on wheels)

I love both my cars and have spent alot of cash on them. I actually prefer riding my Ducati 999s more then driving my cars. You blokes in here need to calm down cause all of you think you know everything. So I suggest you all stop dreaming about hsv and fpv. Watch the real boys race them on tv instead, and stick to your day jobs and help your wives pay the bills. By the way, Cobra is now 467.9kw, and GTS 743.6kw
