Ford GT to deliver 470kW, 731Nm… according to Forza Motorsport 6 game

The twin-turbo 3.5 litre V6 engine of Ford’s new GT supercar will deliver 470kW (630hp) and 731Nm (539lb-ft) of torque, if the new racing simulator Forza Motorsport 6 is to be believed.

Many details for the new supercar have already been revealed, but Ford has so far remained quiet on exact power figures. The company has previously confirmed that fans can expect a power figure beyond 447kW (600hp), however.

Another figure still to be confirmed is the GT’s final weight, but, again, Forza 6 lists a very specific 1311kg (2890lb), along with a 43-57 front-rear weight distribution figure.

It remains to be seen if the figures listed with the GT in the latest Forza edition are accurate, although the game does feature the new supercar on its cover, which suggests that Microsoft’s Turn 10 Studios may have been given early access to the final figures.

In terms of price, rivals to the new Ford GT are expected to include exotic champions like the Lamborghini Aventador and the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.

Both are powered by big V12 engines, the Aventador’s producing 515kW and the Ferrari even more at 541kW. But, if the Forza 6 figures prove accurate, the GT will also be around 300kg lighter than its European counterparts.
