2007 Holden Commodore VE Ute Spied – Again

Literally days after our exclusive spy pictures of Holden’s new Commodore Ute, more photos have appeared of the exact same vehicle pictured in our initial post. In fact, not only is it the same vehicle, it’s parked in the exact same location – if not the exact same parking space.
It would be rude of us to suggest that Holden is deliberately leaving these vehicles hanging around in highly populated shopping centres to take the limelight away from Ford’s new Orion Utility – which has been posing for a select few of our spy photographers.

BM, I think the interior will most likely just be that of the standard VE Commodore.
I’m still standing by what I think is right…
and that is not right, it’s downright ugly.
Its either one lazy ass employee who prefers to come to a park and relax as oppose to test the car, or Holden are sick of Ford getting all the press. Its working for them either way!

Easy enough to tell if this is a chance encounter or planned.
Next time the photographer spots the car, unclip the front and rear covers and see if anyone comes running….

All u guys paying out the Holden Ute are proably Ford guys. I think that the new ute looks a treat. I also think that since the early 90s that Falcons have always had the same body lines as the Commodore. Ford should design their own body lines!!!
(The new Falcon is so ugly, I saw a computer generated version in Wheels, the lights are so stupid, what were they thinking so UGLY looks exact same as BF minus lights)

If you read the other posts you will notice that I said the VZ Utes are actually really nice.

And the Wheels magazine Concept doesn’t look that good on the new Falcon. I agree. But clearly you haven’t looked at the Generations on this site that have recently been posted.
The Orion Falcon will smash the VE Commodore in all aspects.
Those computer generated images on this site are just ugly. Over-the-top would be the under statement of the century. The body lines are exactly the same as the VE, the rear end looks like a HSV GTS and the wheels on the FPV Typhoon are extremely similar to the ones on the HSV Clubbie and GTS.

Well dip shit, in case you haven’t realised they are the same wheels that came out specifically for the FPV F6 series in 2005! So there is another relevance to Holden copying Ford.

you guys are stupid, i dont even know why you are crying about this new ute, holden just didnt release it so they could drag out the new release. the VE utwe will look almost the same and the sedan, they just gheld back the release of the ute so that they can buy some time so that they can copy something from the new ford.

I’m with Nick and aussie. All u Found On Rubbish Dumps (F.O.R.D.) gaylords say that the VE Commodore copied the BA/BF headlights. This isn’t true. Ford copied those headlights off the VY Commodore. So it is just a case of Ford copying Holden and Ford trying to make Holden look bad by saying Holden copied them.
So all u F.O.R.D. gaylords should just go home and tell Ford to design their own SHIT!!!

NOTE: the VY commy and BA falcon came out in the same month of 2002!! so really neither could have copied
but now the VE lights look nothing like the VY lights and nor did the BA lights.
yes all lights look the same in terms that they have a lense cover.
take a look at the reflectors in the BA lights….nothing like the VY commy …..but now have a look at the VE reflectors……..thats 1 main part where they look like a BA.

Vehicles in the same class are inevitably gunna look the same, and maybe ford has stolen ideas from holden and maybe holden has stolen from ford! Get over it! its a competitive world and ya gotta do what ya gotta do!
I think everyone should drop the biased views, step back and realise that both manafacturers and vehicles have good and bad aspects.
But the new A6 has 9 billion patents, oh first of all prove it! second of all an newly designed button/ switch can be patented. Patents can be filed and then never completed also! Patents online have many filed patents of ideas that have not ever been developed.
Good o Audi if they did complete them anyway thats a pretty good acheivement.
The holden ute aint mean shit anyway, the maloo is all that matters.

Nick’s right. I’ve had 3 Commdores (A VK wagon, VR sedan and a VX SS) and they all went like the wind! Then I had a ride in my uncles XR8 (BA) and it was a piece of shit. Not revvy at all! My uncle said that the XR8 kept breaking down (pretty much every month), and with the VX I had 4 years without a problem!!!
I hope holden brings out a inline six that would be cool
the ford falcon is going to kick ass when it comes out. the one now is not as good but if ford took parts from other cars then it would be good to. holden are just mongrel cars

At 8:45 AM today (19/7/2007) I was driving along Forestway, Belrose NSW next to 2 New Commodore (??) sedans (one bright blue). They were both decked out with full front & rear covers, had VIC number plates & were being escorted by another 2 current model Commodores (orange & green). Wish I had taken photos of them for you all. So the new models are “out & about”

The Commodore headlights have evolved more smoothly to the current shape, and good or bad the VX & VY lights were the first to have the tear drops. Ford then introduced the twin tear drops(integra style)yeh..ok..it also evolved from the XR lights as well.lol.
Now, $$$ talks and bullshit walks so, since the VT model was introduced how much money has Holden earned compared to FORD Australia? If you say Ford, you are a straight out liar!
Yes, Holden are concentrating more on show pony utes these days, because they are smart. A standard ute price compared to an SS? $$$ch-ching$$$ and yes, good looking cars are good for the image. Both Ford and Holden are good looking cars. But Holden are taking advantage of it more. Ford will eventually follow.
Yes I agree, Ford Australia has finally created a good engine (after 3 attempts) with the turbo version of the antiquated I6. But it is so long that even on the new model, look at the huge overhang thats required at the front to hold it. Disgusting.
And they just ditched the straight 6 anyway, just like the Fairlane/LTD’s. LOL!!! Hopefully Ford’s upcoming foreign sourced V6 will more then make up for it.
And if the new car is so wonderful, why isn’t Ford using it as a global platform this round. I’m sure they will export some(Ford may use the ute to lower average US fuel economy figures by replacing some of the large trucks just as GM are planning) but it looks like they want to use the next Falcon chassis after Orion for the true global chassis which wont be ready for years (and they really dropped the ball not getting the export program happening a lot earlier. But I spose, Ford had to wait to learn from Holden how to do it properly).
I had a meeting with a major American parts supplier to Ford, Toyota and Mitsubishi from Detroit yesterday and from what he said, prey that the Falcon does well abroad because Ford needs the cash real bad.
Toyota cant make cars fast enough over there!!! And Ford is bleeding bad.
I want Ford Australia to do well, don’t get me wrong but please dont be so biased boys. You should be welcoming thread contributions. Not scaring them off with your same old same old bulls**t to keep yourselves in the little cicle of safety. It just makes you look like your living in denial. Also, I have seen plenty of new cars with rust. All it takes is one badly mounted seal, a scratch and humidity (or a design fault like the VL Commodore boot.hehe) to start the cancer.
A final comment for now, One thing I will give Ford Australia credit for is the Territory. That was smart. I’ll give credit where credit’s due.
PS-When are just one of you power hump guys gonna put the foot down and actually show me what the turbo can do. I would truly love to see it.
