The 380 is already equal to or better than all local rivals in every sense, from safety to performance and styling. And nothing like the Magna, we replaced our TJ Magna with a 380 and look the magna was good for its day but pales in comparison. 7news in Melbourne tonight had a story on some motoring safety institute cutting sick at local manufacturers becasue of the very poor security in their cars, particularly holden and ford. However they did not mention that the 380 beat all its local and foreign rivals to be the most secure and hardest to steal large car. They did however have footage of all the best cars in each category but the 380 was mostly obscured by the Liberty.

Mitsubishi make the best 2 cycle engines in the world.Period full stop.

The 41cc/T200 would destroy any other same sized donk on the planet.Bit old school, ie heavy and noisey, but boy does it go and go and go, it cannot be killed

What does that have to do with the Magna, woops i meand the 380/S24?Nothing really other than inform that Mitsu do have the technology!

Cheers

Im a big Mitsubishi fan, have been for over 20 years.
Ive stuck by the company and have never felt the need to buy another brand & yes Ive tried the others too.
If only MMAL had a bigger budget, performance wise the current 380 s%*ts on the Camry or is it Aurion V6 and in many cases equals the the other two locals too.
Mitsubishi build Evo so they are capable of doing the same with 380,unfortunately they are only 85% there with the 380 and we may never actually see a full blown 380.
Great web site too, CARADVICE!
Come on Mr Bishi!

yer i think that the 380 s3 should be made into more of a powerful car like the EVO and the ralliart name would be great except of the price tag that comes with it

Mitsubishi build bloody good cars and unfortunately the local operations have a very tight budget.
Lets hope ESP/ASC and Side Air Bags will be available on the Series III and added performance with the VR-X & GT.
They have the engineering to create EVO then they can do more with the 380.

We have a 380 series 2 and just love it. They are a great car and it just boggles my mind why they don't sell, they get award after award. Better than the Falcon and in handling terms equal to the VE and better than the Aurion. I like its current look and the new one looks hot too. Build quality is superb, far better than Holden and Ford and even without the curtain airbags it still gets a higher numerical safety score than either the VE or falcon! I liked the 2003 "smiley" Magna. We bought a 2002 not realising the new one was coming, so we missed out on climate control and 4 airbags! :(

Yes, these pics pretty much conclude what I had been shown from my sources. The TMR bodykit looks way hot as well as those mags. This should help to drive sales witht the launch of several other new vehicles. If you thought this looked sweet, the rear bumper and tail-lights have also been improved and look hot! I am quite impressed and am 95 percent sure the car now makes curtain airbags standard, meaning it gets a 5 star safety rating! The safest local sedan, that sort of name tag should drive some sales further. It's a nice car, and seeing how they didn't screw up the facelift like they did with the 2003 Magna, they cannot lose sales, so they either continue with a thousand cars a month, or they generate more sales, and being such a great value vehicle, that now looks better, you'd asume so. Dam, I am so optimistic. If we keep saying it, it will eventually come true!

Still not a bad car!

was great to drive, though rear vision was a bit crappy.

I would buy one.... if it had some resale.
