Someone please tell me who to contact with this. Or is it contaminated gasoline. Who do you contact to check the tanks at this station. Please send me to a site that I can see if they can go out to this station and check the tanks.

Help me please. Who checks stations for this type of problem. As I don’t know now if my car will crank in the morning, however the guy at advance did tell me what to do, and hopefully that will help. But this is a serious problem, if there is water in there gasoline tanks that could do damage to a number of vehicles, motorcycles, boats, etc. Anything that takes gas.
You can’t have water in your gasoline, it will mess up your engine. Someone please help me get the right people to check the tanks at this station.

My blazed would not crank today. This is the second time this has happened when I bought gasoline at Sportsman Corner, Gregs Gas Plus, Clarks Hill, SC or some may think it’s North Augusta SC.
Today was the worse. I thought my engine had bad problems. After about 15 minutes of trying, I got out and opened the hood and checked all my fluids, and anything else I could think of to look at. I said a prayer as I cannot afford to go out and buy another vehicle. After I got back in the blazer and 10 minutes later I finally got it cranked. I went immediately to Advance Auto Parts and told them the problems I was having and how it sputtered after I put gas in it. He asked where did I buy the gas. I told him. He said he had two other customers that had came in with the same problem and when he asked them where they bought the gas, it was the same exact station. Who do you go to about situations like this, who do you contact to go to the Station to check and see if they have water in their tanks? Anyone that can help me with this I would surely appreciate. I know there has to be some type of regulations on the gas, and I know there are inspections. Has anyone checked this station? I like the station, but I am now scared to buy gasoline there, unless I know it is safe gasoline, and water isn’t in it. If it messed up my vehicle the station would not pay for it, as they would say I’m almost sure that they are not responsible. I don’t know. I just want to know where to go to have them have there tanks checked. The man at Advance Auto told me that this has happened at the same station before in the past. I’m not saying it is their gas, I just want it checked. I want to know who to contact to check it. can someone out there please tell me.
I don’t want this station in trouble, but I also don’t want my vehicle needing thousands of dollars worth or work because of bad gasoline. Can someone please help me?

hi just filled my 22.2.11 with SHELL Vpower from Punt rd Melbourne now running like a dog when starting cold little better when warm just seeing if any body has same problem thanks

I filled up bad petrol too 98 on wednesday 11/08/09 morning same petrol station mt druitt instant i got out of the the station the car started misfiring. I had to flush the tank out.

I got contaminated Premium 98 fuel from a Mobil service station in Western Sydney on Monday night.Car stalled and wouldn’t start. I contacted Mobil customer service and gave them all details, they got back to me with a claim number. I have to send them proof of fuel purchase, repair invoice and written statement from mechanic proving it was contaminated fuel. 15 years of using Mobil fuel without a problem until now. Just a bad batch of Premium 98

Interested to know if anyone has had a issue since. My wife got fuel from a caltex in NArre Warren on the 16-4-2010 and soon after it stopped. $463 dollars later the car is back on the road. Reason given by Subaru was “fuel has gone off” Clatex say no other complaints therefore no issue as far as they are concerned. Car ran fine on shell fuel for 3 years first time we put caltex fuel in (Vortex 98) car stops wroking.

The VPower petrol I bought at Shell on the corner of Napean and Warrigal seemed to make my Subaru running rough and stalling. Same with my wifes’s Mazda (Shell-Napean Hwy – Brighton.

I guess I won’t use Shell again…

So your comprehensive insurance covered the cost of repair related to contaminated fuel right? I thought insurance company would not cover those cost. it is nice to know that.

However can you please confirm, did you have any issues with your insurance company approving contaminated reapir.

I am thinking of going to GIO insurance and claim this as accidental damages.
