I have an A5 at the moment and have just ordered the S5 to be delivered in October. We test drove the BMW M3 V8 Limited Edition as well as I have always loved Bimmers but I must say the S5 looked and handled better. The interior build and quality of the Audi is also far ahead of the BMW as well.

I am comparing A5 and 335i too.

1/look – A5
2/price tag – A5 95k vs 335 120k
3/Sportyness – 335i
4/handling- quattro -> A5 ?
5/0-100 – 335i
6/interior – A5
7/reliability – ?? apparently bmw 3 series voted most reliable in UK.
8/servicing cost – ??
9/ resale – A5 hold resale similar to bmw i heard.

cost wise i go for A5 but performance wise i go for 335i.

any comments?

good to hear diff opinions. I have had 120i Bmw and loved it. Then I upgraded to 325i 2008 which I loved… but recently my mate bought and A5 and it made me think twice. I went to the BMW showroom and they all looked the same, esp interiors? I am test driving and Audi S5 this week? interested to hear people opinion?

BMW 335i, M3 or S5? … wat u all think?

I can’t believe that your actually trying to classify the BMW with the audi lol. That’s like wiping before you poop haha it doesn’t make sense. The A5 is the ultimate panty dropper and I’m sorry not everyone can be as classy as to drive it or afford it. Its an amazing driving machine the should only be reserved for people who truly appreciate its german engineering and style

Tthe bmw costs 18% more for 15% more power, so I see that as more of a non event than anything worth mentioning. Plus the BMW looks 95% the same as a car worth 50k, The A5 is stand alone also the bmw looks old worldly to me and the A5 looks like sex.
Snob value or head turning with drooling??
I choose shagging in a back alley over doing tea with the jones’es.

In Summary if the A5 handles 90% as well as the BMW I would be choosing one, if more 90% I would take to laughing at the stupid BMW drivers.

I’ve had a Merc for 6 years and I can assure you the A5 is better, as for the BM, well I thought it was great too, but pound for pound, the A5 wins. Furthermore, I do agree with those who said the BM is getting ugly, it sure is!

my last car was a bmw 325i with smg gearbox loved it, i was looking at the new 135i as a possible replacement but having just test driven the A5 was suitably impressed with its vehicles comparison to the bmw. still undecided

I have to say, that the A5 took my breath away the first time I saw it on the road. I’ve always loved my CLK 430 with the AMG sport’s package, but this car makes me want to cheat on it and have a little naughty affair. I can’t wait to be the first girlie on the block with this kick-ass Audi!!!!!

im buying an Audi S5 Blk on Blk and I have test driven both the S5 and the 335xi coupe and i have to say the S5’s handling destroyed the 335xi, the way that thing took the turns on a sharp curved road made me moan. I loved it. now i have never had an audi before. i have had a mercedes and I had a chrysler 300 sr10 which i didnt really like that much, but handling and looks wise the S5 is the best and BTW it looks sooooo much better in person than in a picture and that goes for 90% of audi cars so bavarian stop hateing just cuz u can only afford a 20 year old bmw….i gotta get to class

I myself love the 335i coupe defenetly not the 4 door they sure made it look like a girlie car as might as well make it in pink color,I own the 2000 328ci but its shame that after 125k miles seems car is falling apart,
But I never had to take a double take on the S5 which was driving on the coast hwy that was a beauty now I don’t know much about the power and handling on that but it sure looked gorgeous in Blk reminds me of a Maserati or a Aston Martin…….

Where is Audi beating BMW these days….I think thats your opinion and as much as your entilled too it back it up in future!

I have nothing against Audi you clearly do BMW.I think its good to have some competition but some one has to be the leader,learn some respect of other brands BMW have earn’t their awards fair and square!

thats because it doesnt compete with the CL, it competes with the clk…. And you 6.3 V8 doesnt have 1000nm of torque your talking about the bi turbo cl65 v12….. Guess you need to do some research on your favourite mercedes….

Wow, you guys are so serious when it comes down to germans,
well I have seen them both on the road and looks wise, the Audi S5 wins handsdown, and if were talking about the S5 the Audi should also win hands down in performance against a BMW 335CI, well thats MHO, but you guys can all decide for yourselves.

i know i am a little biased in saying this, i have had the pleasure of having one of htese in my shed…. one of the best coupes i have driven, recently swapped with another dealer, i took his 335 coupe for the weekend, if your in the market, drive the audi, i know which one you will buy!!
