Rolls-Royce Wraith Inspired by Music unveiled

Overnight, the German-owned luxury car maker unveiled the Rolls-Royce Wraith Inspired by Music.

According to the company, the Inspired by Music, which took two years to complete, celebrates the fact that since the dawn of the rock and roll age, many successful musicians have celebrated their success by indulging in a Rolls-Royce or three.

Passengers in the Wraith Inspired by Music are treated to a 1300W bespoke audio system with 18 speakers, including two bass units, seven tweeters, seven mid-range speakers, and two exciter speakers fitted into the interior headlining.

Also included are microphones that capture and monitor ambient interior noise, and adjust the audio system's volume and tone settings automatically.

Design-wise, copper is the Inspired by Music's overarching theme. The colour is not only flaked into the exterior paint, but it also graces the vehicle's unique speaker grilles, as well as the door panels, and a large swathe of the dashboard and centre tunnel.

Other changes to car include leather floor mats, and a redesigned clock with copper and silver finishes.

The Wraith Inspired by Music is the latest in Rolls-Royce's on-going series of "Inspired by" vehicles, including the Inspired by Film and Inspired by Fashion, that highlight the work of the company's bespoke modification department.

As with other Wraiths, the Inspired by Music is powered by a 6.5-litre twin-turbo V12 petrol engine. The 465kW/800Nm is connected to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
