Lamborghini will reportedly debut the extra-hot Super Veloce version of its Aventador Roadster at next month’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The new Aventador Super Veloce Roadster’s debut will come just months after the Goodwood Festival of Speed unveiling of the SV coupe. (See our review here.)

As with the coupe version, the new topless SV Lambo will be a limited-edition model, with production expected to be restricted to just 500 examples – a full hundred fewer than the coupe.

Details for the new special have not been revealed, but we can likely expect the Super Veloce Roadster’s power to be provided by the same 552kW 6.5 litre V12 driving the coupe, which represents a handy 37kW boost on the regular Aventador.

Likewise, motivation should be sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed automated manual, and a coupe-matching 0-100km/h time of 2.8 seconds is also expected.

Moving into 2016, reports elsewhere suggest that the ‘entry-level’ Huracan’s topless sibling will make its world premiere at the Geneva motor show in March.

Debuting more than two years on from the global unveiling of the hardtop Huracan, the Spyder’s launch should boost sales with Lamborghini’s sun-seeking clients.

Expect the Huracan Spyder’s mechanicals to largely mirror those of its coupe sibling, meaning a 5.2 litre V10 churning out 449kW and 560Nm of torque.

The Spyder will likely be a tad heavier than the Huracan coupe, but its pace off the mark should come close to the 3.2 second sprint of its sibling.

The Huracan Spyder will square off against Ferrari’s 488 GTB Spider, revealed just this week.

As for the hardtop Italians, Ferrari’s turbocharged 492kW V8 488 GTB hit Australia this week, debuting at $469,888 plus on-road costs. The new Ferrari will do battle with the Huracan, which is priced from $428,000.
