Mini sees funny side of US clunker scheme
August 3, 2009 by Matt Brogan
Mini is offering US buyers taking part in the cash for clunkers deal a bumper sticker for their new purchase that takes a glass half-full look at the scheme.
In Mini’s typical vein of humour the sticker reads “My other car was demolished by the government”. Not a bad way to remember where your last car finished up.

haha…another fantastic creative execution from MINI!
Would make you think that the driver is a hoon an their last car was crushed. The would atleast be the first impression I get from reading it.
Howie-R31: Makes you look pretty hardcore then, huh? I think that outcome is part of the creative campaign interpretation.
Mini are just one of those brands; never seem to take a wrong step. Very clever indeed.
THat sticker alone would make me buy a new Mini just for their awesome brand of humour.
Mine would read.
“The car that was demolished wasn’t mine. What would you do to own a Mini?”
