2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spied at the Ring
July 4, 2007 by Alborz Fallah
We are all waiting for it, we are all dying for it, we just wish Subaru would take the covers of already and let us the next generation Subaru Impreza WRX STi. The image below has been the most circulated image of the 2008 STi so far.
A few days ago, Car Magazine photographers caught the STi testing at Germany’s Nurburgring.
From what we can gather, the new STi doesn’t seem to have an exaggerated bonnet scoop and the rear spoiler is not as big as the previous models, although the wheel guards stick out for a more aggressive look.
Power is expected to reach more than 220kWs and the STi gets from 0-100km/hr in under five seconds.
Car Magazine reports the new STi has gone up in price by almost £2,000 pounds, thats roughly an increase of $5,000 AUD over the previous model.
As we reported earlier in the year, Mitsubishi is expected to raise the price of the Lancer Evolution X by at least $7,500 AUD.

ohh…. um…
i dont hate it as much as i should!!
like an ugly mole, its growing on me!
Well I’m waiting for the covers to come off before I make up my mind about the STi.
That is really nice, considering the only pics of it are all Hatchback…
But still nice
Interesting, looks similar to a BMW 120, oh thank god the wrx is coming out of the stone age, they have gone from looking boring to a bug, then not so bad, to slightly renovated face. This future 2008 shape is not to bad although it looks somewhat similar to a door wedge, i guess at least it doesn’t have a ridiculous spoiler which doubles as a table.
ahh it looks ok i reckon the evo x is alot better in many ways i dont lyk the hatchback look.. i was told the sti is coming out in hatchback only or sumthing?? i dont know anywais im out GO EVO X =]]]
