Rally Australia only a month away

For those of you who are not aware, Round 10 of the 2009 FIA World Rally Championship is scheduled to run on 3-6 September, in the east coast of Australia.

The Repco Rally Australia as it's officially titled, includes closed-road competition stages through Tweed and Kyogle Shires in Northern New South Wales with a rally car service park at Kingscliff and operations headquarters at SALT Resort.

With the  Australian leg of the Formula One season well and truly over , the reintroduction of a WRC stage in Australia is a blessing.

The World Rally Championship has always been one of our favourite motorsports here at CarAdvice, competing only with F1 in terms of driver skill and excitement.

To put the sport in perspective, last year more than 816 million people in 180 countries watched the World Rally with around 51 million viewers per round.

Thankfully tickets for the Australian Rally event are significantly cheaper than those for the F1 race at Melbourne's Albert Park.

The super pass which grants access to all areas for the three-day event costs only $99 ($59 concession). If you can only stay for one day or just want to see the special stages, tickets are available for that too.

You can have a look at the ticket pricing for the event here.

If you're free that weekend in September and have never been to a rally, from all of us at CarAdvice we strongly suggest you make your way out there as it will be an event to remember.

CarAdvice will be covering the event live so you may even run in to one of us!
