get a ranger mat if you want offroader. i say the ranger’s engine is bullet proof! lastly, i will show u nextwik where my ranger beats wat navara’s hav put into specs.. my ranger does 0-100kmh n 8 secs.. try to much that.. i’l giv u the link in week tym.. thanks

I HAVE A D40 STX AUTO, USE IT FOR WORK, HAD TO UPGRADE SUSPENSION AS THE STOCKO GEAR IS PATHETIC, HIT BUMPSTOPS GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS, DRAG TOWBAR GOING OUT OF DRIVEWAYS, WHAT A JOKE, BASH PLATE IS MADE OF ALFOIL, BRAKES PADS AND ROTORS REPLACED AT 26000KM, USE 18 TO 22LTR PER 100KM, BUT ITS COMFORTABLE HA. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE AUTO TO ANYONE..

I AM TRULY INTERESTED IN THE NAVARA, BUT MY FRIEND WAS TELLING ME ABOUT THE CRASH RATINGS AND ALSO THE FAULTS AND FLAWS ON THE COMPUTERISED SYSTEMS.HAVE THESE THINGS BEEN CORRECTED? CAN I STILL GO AHEAD AND PURCHASE THE NAVARA AND TRUST THAT THE 2009 MODEL HAS BEEN CORRECTED.

Devil666, I ended up gettin a nav, hilux and triton were on my radar….Back seat leg room was my main buying point…I assumed triton were the best, till we got a cpl at work, after 6months i was totally turned off the triton. Hilux’s were to $$$ for the gear u got, with the money i saved i can really turn the nav to a REAL offroader

Andrew, Devil666 does have a point in that Navara is the best ute in its class. Its ride and road holding compromise, transmissions and interior are all class leading. Towing capacity is class equalling. It has great engine choices. Its better value than Triton and Hilux, not to mention way better looking. And its off-road ability is just as capable as the best in its segment. One of the few vehicles that Nissan got right.

Devil666, you seem to be forgettin that Triton has superselct box, which means swhich from 2wd (rear wheel) to 4wd high whist on the move at up to 100kph, and no getting out to lock your hub, Nissin’s 4wd abilities only lie with the patrol and that is only good because its basically been the same chasis for nearly 20 years now . . .
