Jaguar F-Pace SUV teased in new video

The upcoming Jaguar F-Pace crossover has been teased in a new video from the British luxury marque.

In the teaser, Ian Callum, Jaguar Land Rover's chief designer, is seen sketching the outline of a Jaguar SUV. After a look at the C-X17 concept car, which debuted back in 2013, we're finally given a look at the F-Pace's head- and tail-light graphics.

At the front, top-spec F-Pace models will feature two clusters of LED lights within a slimline headlight casing. While at the rear, the the F-Pace will feature tail-lights that aren't all together too different from those used in the F-Type, XE and XF.

As earlier spy photos have shown, the F-Pace will look remarkably similar to the C-X17 concept car. Some of the concept's flair details, like the thick spears of chrome and thin wing mirrors, will be ditched in the transition to production.

The interior of the production crossover will be massively toned from the one used in the concept vehicle, though, as the F-Pace's interior seems to be lifted almost entirely straight out of the XF sedan.

Under the skin, the F-Pace will use the aluminium intensive rear- and all-wheel drive platform that underpins the 3 Series-rivalling XE and the larger XF.

Base models, we believe, will use the company's Ingenium turbocharged four-cylinder engines, while higher spec models will employ a version of Jaguar's supercharged 3.0-litre V6.

The Jaguar F-Pace will make its debut at the Frankfurt motor show, which begins in the middle of September.
