Dodge back in Australia

June 22, 2006 by Alborz Fallah

If you didn’t know already, Dodge is relaunching itself in Australia in August this year. Dodge has decided to start its advertising campaign by allowing the public to purchase their merchandise! The grab life by the horns campaign will allow the public to purchase anything form T-shirts, umbrellas, mugs to CD wallets. What an amazing way to get the word out, let people do it for you! Anyway, Dodge plans to release a new vehicle every six months in the Australian market for the next 3 years following the launch of the Caliber (pictured) in August.

With the much anticipated launch of the Dodge Caliber… Dodge has its sights set on 2007 looking to an exciting future. The Dodge Nitro mid-sized SUV will arrive mid 2007, spicing up the mid-sized SUV market with brawny styling and features like 20-inch alloys and performance suspension. A new Dodge vehicle will arrive approximately every six months following the Nitro for the next three years, all sporting bold and distinctly American styling.

In times of such high fuel prices, I wonder why Dodge wants to launch a SUV as their first car? Dodge likes to think of the Caliber as a Mini-SUV. Either way, if Fuel isn’t all that matters, those holding out for the Caliber will be happy to know that the car has gotten the U.S. government’s highest ratings for side and frontal-impact crash protection from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
