Torino Design ATS Wild Twelve concept unveiled

Last weekend, automotive consulting firm, Torino Design, and small Italian car maker ATS unveiled their Wild Twelve concept at the Parco Valentino salon in Turin.

Motivation for the Wild Twelve concept reportedly comes from a plug-in hybrid drivetrain with a total of 630kW of power and 920Nm of torque at its disposal. At its core is a 3.8-litre V12, which is connected to the rear wheels via a nine-speed automatic.

The front wheels are powered by a pair of electric motors. In EV mode, the car has a driving range of about 32 kilometres.

Unsurprisingly, the Wild Twelve is largely constructed out of carbonfibre; it's said to weigh just shy of 1500 kilograms. With all the drivetrain systems working together, the Wild Twelve has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 2.6 seconds and a top speed of around 385km/h.

According to Leftlane News, Piero Jacometti, owner of ATS, claims that his company will built around 30 Wild Twelves at the former Bugatti factory in Campogalliano, Italy.

No word yet on how much the Wild Twelve will cost, nor when it will start rolling down the production line.
