If you can afford a new GWC or other Chinese rip off, you can afford a decent second hand Toyota or Mazda that has a four or five star safety rating.

MATE have you ever driven them ? I have used them for years on farm and they are bloody good value for money. And next time dont go by what you hear go by what you have experienced. I have heard a lot of things about many BIG brands … it doesnot make them bad.

Regarding Australia being a place for quality and all that stuff, have you seen the quality holden pumps out ? Holdon = Hold On to your car. I Owned foe for 1 yr and never again am i going to buy it.

Regarding quality and the guys who are basing INDIA and China , mate you are the same people who buy most of your stuff from the 2 dollar shop . What do you expect? Get out there and by the expensive stuff and then complain. The only thing that works against INDIA and China is because these countries produce products across the low to high range. And people being people go by the cheap stuff ( dont want to part with their dollar ) and then take the high moral ground on blogs like these. What do you recon is the quality you get from GO LO ?

You say it won’t even pass Australian design standards? Well how come the last of the 10th generation F-250s and
F-350s were on the Australian market and their value has gone up since the 10th generation model ran out?

Example: An F-series truck worth $75,000 in 2003 is now valued at over $90,000 go to Ford and see an XLT 4X4 your self.

I knew an old guy who owned a 1968 F-100 it was an Ex-airport security vehicle and he owned it for along time and he drove it every day for more than 20 years untill he coudn’t drive anymore. So you telling me he drove a craptruck all that time?

I personly know owners of F-series’ and satisfied with them. If they are so bad, why have they been the best selling truck in the US for along time.

So Andy, do you just hate the F-series Trucks because you just hate american culture? It sounds like it to me.

Look underneath them, they are huge trucks with tough chassies, you claim their “build quality is rubbish”, I don’t need to read your rubbish, i’ll take the facts thanks.

You will be better off in an F-Series truck than any carm in a head on because the cars are your crumple zone.

metal thickness was reduced as much as possible..

After using a few Mexican VW parts, I found they are poorly made, most parts fell apart, thats if they fitted in the first place…
