He should have stayed in after sales until he got it right!!!

They might only make variations of Camry but this is the vital area in which Toymota nail Ford and Holden….and advertising.

Keeps the comatose coming back year after year.

Does anyone know if Kevin Wale still works for GM somewhere? From memory he was head of Vauxhall UK for a while then went to Asia. He is an Aussie they could bring back to run Holden.

Another one bites the dust, this is Holdens last chance to return to profit, but I believe they are in major trouble just like Ford. People need to realise that it is no longer profitable to build cars in this country. Lets face it if it wasn`t for the Aus Government subsidies they would have been gone long ago and with that about to dry up they along with Ford will be nothing more than IMPORTERS.

Holden need a CEO who not only has a real interest in the cars Holden designs & builds but is also passionate about Australia and the Automotive industry…. As Andrew M said They need an Australian

I mean who else has a better idea about how the average Australian thinks or what s/he wants in a car etc than an Australian?

The last decent CEO Holden had was Peter Hannenberger – yes he was German but he was passionate about what he did.

Mark Reuss has been promoted to a new position at GM in Detroit.
The thing is GM Promoted Denny Mooney to a new position in Detroit after he made the dumb arse decision to import Daewoo sourced Barinas.. a decision which not only ruined Holdens image but it didn’t make sense given that they still imported Astras from Europe.

So it seems in GM as in government you get promoted because of you incompetence inability or inaction and the ones with the brains and the ideas never make it let alone get any credit.

If not write him off now.

With out an Aussie at the helm they will never have anyone who truely cares about the direction for Holden as will be purely treated as another Pawn in the GM stable.

All these guys coming and going are only concerned about racking up more stripes on their shoulder. In the corporatre world the only way you move up the ranks is to constantly shift around.

Have a look at Fords Last 2 Aussie Honchos……

The 2 Americans that came in between when Polites left and MB arrived nearly screwed the joint.
Now see the passion now an Aussie is back in charge of an Aussie business

May not have been Commodores. The “source” was unsure but assumed that they were Commodores. More likely to be coupe/convertable versions of the Cruze .

A previous VP at Daewoo as well.

I think this represents a watering down of the management level in Australia, with more control and decisions being made by the China based executive team.
Nick Reilly, in China, is taking control…….
