Lexus NX200t: 189 vehicles recalled for ABS actuator fault

Lexus has recalled 189 NX200t mid-sized luxury SUVs over a suspected manufacturing fault in the ABS system.

For affected cars, there is the potential that a component within the ABS actuator was damaged during assembly. If this component fails, the ABS system may be inoperative which can lead to a lack of control during emergency braking.

There have been no reported cases of this issue in Australia, but Lexus will contact all relevant NX200t owners as a precaution.

An inspection takes about 30-minutes at a Lexus service centre, and if required, the fix will take another 4-5 hours.
