Almost a decade ago, Top Gear showed us the difference between a really fast car, and the McLaren F1 –now Evo has paid homage to this film by pitting the Nissan GT-R against the Bugatti Veyron.
With the Nissan GT-R boasting perhaps the most explosive take-off of any car in the world, for just how long will it stay ahead of the Veyron?

Why did they hae to play such annoying music? Haha, anyway, the Nissan put up a good fight… At the begginging maybe, they Veyron toasted it otherwise.
Just goes to show that the Veyron still reigns as the King in the quickest of road registrable production cars in the world.

Still reigns as the King and so what? Veyron costs more than 30 times the GT-R. GT-R is the king of performance/cost ratio!
I agree. What a boring video with the crappy music. Hides the awesome sound of the most amazing car in the world.
How about an on board showing how quickly the Veyron loses the GT-R from a stand still… that flying start comparison was utterly underwhelming. Not taking anything away from the GT-r, but Veyron took forever to catch up so it certainly wasn’t dramatic.
If only Veyrons’ didn’t bog down off the line so much…. I wonder if you could remedy this, then perhaps shave a few .1’s off the 0-100km/h?
What a beast…still, id rather the GTR, a BMW M5 daily and a nice paid-off house….

GTR is still ugly
Add some upgraded turbos, injectors, Accessport, and an exhaust, and you are starting to get closer to a Veyron. Still won’t be nearly as fast top end, but from a dig and over a quarter, the guy in the Bugatti will need to be on.

what a pointless video, isn’t it obvious what would have happened? it’s like comparing a prius with a ss commodore… I don’t need a video to show me how much faster a 1000hp moster is compared to a skyline
Ages ago I got an issue of EVO and it had one of my favourite columns in it: super hotted up versions of a Nissan Micra, Smart fortwo, original Mini and the new Mini. Jeez I loved it!

Certainly proves EVO Magazine are a bunch of idiots. At least Top Gear got it right when they raced the Mclaren F1 and the Veyron.

If they were trying to embarass the GTR, they failed. This video demonstrates how awesome the GTR is. Best bang for you buck in the motoring world.
Interesting but pointless video.
The music was totally annoying though, too loud. You could not hear the cars. The camera angles did not show the action properly either.
Top Gear do it far better.
Gee, I wonder what the result was ever going to be. What was the point of comparing such different cars (pricewise and power-output)? Also, didn’t the GTR hand it to the Veyron on the Nurburing? The veyron is an awesome machine but this comparison is absolutely stupid.
OK…why show this particular video. There are any number of videos better than this on You Noob. Why this one? Boring and pretty much pointless. I agree with the multitude of comments asking why the music was necessary and that the general film directing was attrocious.

Not priced the same, not powered in the same range, totally silly really.
Rubbish music and no story to it, both TopGear and C/A Video jobs are vastly better than this rubbish
