Chevrolet Camaro leaked completely undisguised on cable TV show

The Chevrolet Camaro has been accidentally revealed a day ahead of its official unveiling by a cable business news channel that's available across the world.

CNBC aired several images of the sixth-generation Camaro during its breakfast show Squawk Box. The photos you see were posted on the GM Inside News forums, and were captured by users HuJass and FenwickHockey65 with their smartphones.

The sixth-generation Camaro has been teased on multiple occasions by Chevrolet, and will be unveiled, and hopefully detailed, in full tomorrow during an all-day event in Detroit.

Under the bonnet, the new Camaro is expected to feature not only V6 and V8 motivation, but also a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

As with previous generations, the Camaro will be rear-wheel drive. Unlike the present car, which is based on the Holden-developed Zeta platform, the new Camaro will use GM's Alpha underpinnings that are currently used in the Cadillac ATS and CTS models.

Stefan Jacoby, General Motors' executive vice president of international operations, told Car Advice at the Detroit motor show that Holden will continue to offer a V8 model even after it closes down its local manufacturing operations in late 2017. It's widely expected that this V8 performance vehicle will be a two-door based on the about-to-be-revealed Camaro.
