Bugatti releases first Bordeaux image

By Matt Brogan |

While it might be a rather grainy picture of what’s yet to come from Bugatti, this image is said to be the first shot of its upcoming – and rather expensive – Bordeaux.

The four-seater hyper-car will be properly unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and will feature a shooting brake-style body with striking horse shoe-shaped tail lamps, split rear window (complete with dramatic central brake light) and prominent Bugatti badge.

Early artist’s impression of Bugatti Bordeaux

The front-engined Bordeaux is expected to share the Veyron’s 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine that will produce 735kW/1250Nm which should mean sub-four second 0-100km/h times.

CarAdvice will keep you posted on any developments as they come to hand.

    Sub 4 second? I was expecting sub 3 second…

  • david

    does bugatti really need this?

  • Deco

They just want to be the fastest four door sedan at the ring lol.

The Panarama (porsche) and CTS-V don’t have a chance.

Wish they culd make a normal Supercar that is affordable to more people xD!

Aw c’mon now guys…. spam word Bugatti????? who says these words are random???
On the story though, the artisitic impression doesn’t seem to match the Taillight set up on the teaser photo…
Doesn Bugatti Need this? NO. Do they care? NO. They will build it, it will sell and that my friends is what it is all about. Maybe that Sheik with the white gold M/B Mclaren will be out done by his neighbour ordering a platinum one of these… just because he can.

Wow! Fantastic! Looks like a cross between a Panamera and a PT Cruiser at the back, but I’m just glad people are still making cars like this.

  • NacaYoda

FYI: They lost a fortune on the Veyron.
Maybe they can claw back some of those lost coins on reusing the technology on this 4-door. But not if it looks like the artists impression. Which it looks like it won’t. So maybe all good.

ps. “Please make Super cars cheaper and more accessible to me” – Ha ha! Buy an Evo and be content with your life! If everyone could afford them they wouldn’t be very “super” now would they!

That ‘artist impression’ looks suspiciously like the Bugatti EB112 of Romano Artioli’s time at Bugatti’s helm and a more recent concept, the name of which escapes me….

Just put an Atlantic-style split down the rear window and you do pretty much have the EB112. Gallant effort, though. Quite a bit more Panamera than would be desirable too, I’d imagine.

Wow, I sound like an old fart.

The original intention of Bugatti by Volkswagen wasn’t to make a profit but to develop future products which will eventually filter down into future cars.
It may cost a lot of money but it does make sense and the profits that Volkswagen make will easily account for lost revenue from Bugatti

Squint and it looks like a Holden Sportswagon. :)

  • DesignEng©™

^^ Close your eyes and its all black!

Seriously how much do you have to squint to get it to resemble absolutely any part of a VE wagon??

  • Shak

This in no way looks like a Sportwagon. And id have thought that, that much power would have meant sub 3 second time. Cant the GTR acheive 3.5s with launch control and just over 350Kw of power.

  • Frontman

MathewM, no offence meant, but please tell me you aren’t actually driving are you??? I mean with eyesight like yours I’d be paranoid that you squinted that approaching Mack truck looked like the back end of a Volvo 245………..

  • Jambalaya

    This is bad photoshop.
This sh** is made of Suzuki Kizashi. It`s obvious…
