The 2015 Jaguar XF R-Sport model will see out the current-generation British mid-size luxury sedan in style – and with a sharp price to boot.

The limited edition Jaguar XF model is offered as standard with an Aerodynamic Pack including revised front and rear bumpers and side skirts, a black grille and black window surrounds, and 18-inch Lyra wheels as standard.

Buyers can also option a Black Pack ($1100), which deletes the chrome grille surround in favour of a black version, adds a black rear “signature blade” between the tail-lights (instead of chrome), and on the petrol versions adds an XFR rear diffuser to the back bumper. Metallic paint is included.

Inside sees new 18-way adjustable seats, R-Sport door sill tread plates, and a black headliner. Other standard goodies include leather trim with contrast stitching, push-button start, satellite navigation, a reverse-view camera and front and rear parking sensors.

There are three engine options available: the entry-level 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol with 177kW/340Nm, the 2.2-litre turbo diesel four-cylinder with 147kW/450Nm, and the range-topping 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol with 250kW/450Nm. All engines come with an eight-speed automatic, with power sent to the rear wheels.

Supply is capped at 100 examples for Australia, with the R-Sport variant building upon the entry-level Premium Luxury model and costing $6900 more than that car.

2015 Jaguar XF R-Sport pricing (plus on-road costs):
2.0-litre petrol $81,575 – promotional pricing has been set at $84,990 driveaway
2.2-litre diesel $83,400
3.0-litre petrol $100,330
