I hate the word "bolt on". Seems to give the impression it can be fitted onto any car just like an air freshener. Nope-it's more like tuning cos once you fit in a supercharger or a turbocharger, you'll have to deal with a host of issues. Assuming that you've space in the engine bay to fit the supercharger + complete package, otherwise you'll need to reposition some engine parts. In addition, you'll have to worry about the suspension, brakes, gearbox etc.

How about a 'package' that doesn't effect your factory warranty?

I disagree about Walkinshaw Performance being anything special or connected in anyway to the race cars. In reality the race cars are run by race teams, there is no connections to anything that is produced for the road these days. Anyone who knows anything about the modifying scene of LSX powered cars knows which shops and companies are at the forefront of development. It certainly isn’t Walkinshaw. They’re just trying to cash in with over inflated prices and underperforming results. You want an Eaton style blower buy it from Harrop and get your local tuner who has a lot more experience than some blow in like Walkinshaw. There is nothing official or connecting the Walkinshaw of today with the Walkinshaw that created the VL flying pig. Buying a blower and repackaging it with go-fast-stickers and red paint doesn’t make you an innovator. Walkinshaw is for the noobs who don’t have a clue. This article is definitely not worth printi9ng that’s for sure.

Walkinshaw Performance is owned by TWR Australia who also own and operate HSV-HRT.

However; the dosn't just do performance enhancements on Holden Commodores.
They are an international company [which started in the UK[ they have done and still do similar work to other cars including: Mitsubishis Volvos Rovers Jaguars and Fords

Mainly because TWR raceed them in various forms of Motorsport in England and Europe [just as they do with HRT]

Not only that but it helps create a link between car enthusiasts their road cars and the TWR race cars [just like HSV]
Which increases support etc as they take the factory production cars on which they are based to the next level

B-Man says: Wow. A bolt-on supercharger. Way to push the envelope Walkinshaw.

And how is adding a Turbo-charger to a car any different?
