Nice marketing idea but what happens when/if people are not happy with their cover?

Consumers will allocate the price of the car to the service they expect from the insurance.

This might end badly

I think the "catch" is the fact that you will be driving a North American car. They handle, they go, they brake well... no wait.... the opposite of all those things. I was living in Bizarro world for a minute.

Notice how the quality manufacturers don't offer any sort of incentive to buy their cars. Why? Because you'll be paying for the piece of mind.

Notice how Mitsubishi offers a million year warranty on their cards. This is the same marketing ploy. The deal they'll get from QBE will be much less then the profit they make from selling a $2 car.

Yeah, not taken anything away from the Dodge offer though... I think they would less inclined to haggle in terms of price or throw in extra features given this offer, to reduce the extent of the cost, but they are still losing out and consumers win!

Although I cant see even if they offered 5 years of comprehensive Id wanna buy one of their cars!

Lol yeah.... good point! Abit like 'Australian fleet sales' used cars, they advertise on TV trading in absolute bombs for ridiculous amounts, no doubt they forget to say that their cars have inflated prices to take that into consider.

that is an insane offer! dodge must be desperate for sales, this offer would save me around 1500 a year! thats a saving of 3g for the 2 years!

i wonder if they ask u for your age prior to negotiations as they have to factor the cost into their sale price?

Good idea, especially for P-platers as new car insurance is a bitch. Shame it's only Dodge that offers this and not other car companies. Buying a Dodge is a pretty big price to pay for getting free insurance.
