Artist creates Pop Art on Bentley canvas

Brazilian artist Romero Britto has chosen an unlikely canvas for his latest exhibition entitled “Come to my World“ in Berlin, using a Bentley Continental GT on which to apply his latest artwork.

Bentley Motors had donated the Coupe to Britto and the result is one of the most unusual liveries ever conceived, boasting his trademark Pop Art style and comic-like figures.

With most of our readers preferring cars to art, it would be wise to point out that the Continental GT used to create the artwork is a static prototype built in 2003 and not a mechanically-correct Bentley.

Raul Pires, Head of Exterior Design at Bentley Motors was central to the creation of the Continental GT. “Bentley holds the unique combination of exhilaration and relaxation in one package. An automotive sculpture with elegant powerful surfaces. The ultimate in craftsmanship.”

At the conclusion of the exhibition, the “Britto-Bentley” will be put up for auction in aid of the Nathalie Todenhöfer Foundation for multiple sclerosis as well as Best Buddies.
