Mercedes-Benz A-Class facelift captured inside and out
Our spy photographers have captured images of the facelifted Mercedes-Benz A-Class several months ahead of its global debut.
These images show that the update for the A-Class hatchback will be a relatively minor affair, at least visually.
The new car will feature revised headlight internals, new grille treatments, a revised look for the front bumper, and redesigned tail-light graphics.
On the inside, the changes seem to be restricted to details, such as the new, more curvaceous steering wheel. The entertainment and navigation system will also likely be updated to the latest software version.
The current-generation A-Class, dubbed W176 internally, entered production back in 2012. Along with its B-Class brother, the new hatch and mini-MPV siblings junked the radical sandwich platform that was in previous generations for a more traditionally configured front- and all-wheel drive layout.
Starting later this year, this platform will also be employed underneath the Infiniti Q30 hatch. A QX30 crossover will accompany it down the production line from 2016.
Rumours indicate that A-Class update will surface around September, with a public debut at the Frankfurt auto show a likely scenario.
