the slow mos are a cue to the other Block videos, they had them as well. I guess they wanted to recreate the feel of the Block videos.

great vid, and great to see the production values of TG improving, the slow mo shots were really interesting, its great to see it in real time of course but seeing it in slow mo just makes it look fantastic.

good to see a different element hitting the TG screen, its always nice seeing good cars but this interesting stuff really breaks up the standard format.

If you hop onto Youtube and type in Ken Block Gymkhana there is a whole load of his films, usualy using Subaru WRX’s. They are just brilliant.

This was not the same rex he used in the other video. Exhaust lay out was different. He had a twin exhaust in the other the original rex and this one had the one straight through the middle.

The driving was amazing but a lot of the drama and skill was taken away by show-off production stuff. It’s something that’s becoming annoying with TG now – the video work is great but the messing about in post-production with grading, colour, slow motion cutaways and now motion-graphics (see the wiggly lines in the SL Black piece). They really need to cut it back.
The jump at the end of the piece was totally ruined by the plane in the background.

Except the Topgear episode that featured Ken’s video was pretty average. I’ve enjoyed some TGAu episodes more.

this is why you should never mess with the originals. Top Gear UK IS the best Top Gear. Period.
