Kahn Flying Huntsman 6×6 Land Rover Defender concept heading to Geneva

Kahn Design will unveil a 6x6 version of the Land Rover Defender, dubbed the Kahn Flying Huntsman, at the 2015 Geneva motor show.

The Kahn Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6 Concept, as its formally known, is powered by a 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine sourced from GM. The V8 send its roughly 320kW of power to all six wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

Kahn says that the modified Defender has been outfitted with high- and low- range gearing and locking differentials, as well as upgrades to the suspension and braking packages.

The Flying Huntsman is much larger beast than the donor Defender. Not only is the Flying Huntsman 150mm wider, it also has a 800mm longer rear cabin and 400mm longer bonnet than the base vehicle.

Additionally, the Flying Huntsman features a more steeply raked front windscreen, longer front doors for improved ingress and egress, wider rear doors, and a panoramic sunroof that stretches from the B-pillar backwards.

According to Kahn Design, the company is in the process mapping out a production schedule for the Flying Huntsman, with four- and six-wheel drive versions on the table, as well as hard-top and ute body styles. Kahn is also said to be considering armoured versions.
