Camaro supply can’t match demand
June 29, 2009 by Matt Brogan
Despite GM’s financial troubles it seems to have a hit on its hands when it comes to the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro with strong demand severely outstripping supply.
After taking more than 10,000 pre-orders, GM is struggling to fill the 25,000 dealer back-orders that have so far been recorded with only 5463 units having been delivered.
The waiting list on a new Camaro in the US is now in excess of four months.

Good to see something going right for GM in the US.
And it is the aussies who did the development and engineering work on a car the americans actually want. Kudos to Holden.
Really? Holden designed a car they dont sell here as a Holden? Kinda like how Dawoo designed a car Holden does sell here as holdens. They should start selling the cars they design lol would be a good idea… Love the look of this car.. Transformers anyone!
When I win Tuesdays’ Lotto I am going to order 2 of these dream machines.
This is why I think that Holden should have been able to build not only the Camaro but also the Insignia here instead of the Cruze
The Cruze is already being built in 4-5 other factories around the world whereas tha Camaro is being built in one factory in Canada and the Insigina is being built in just one factory in Europe.
Therefore; if Holden was building the Camaro or Insignia here they would be able to help meet the demand for the cars in both the USA and/or Europe then sold any excess here as a Monaro or Torana
why stop at two id buy a fleet. one each colour with each interior combo. This is probably Holdens most successful design and they dont even use it.
Wheelnut, go away please, if it is you.
It has been great not having to put up with your inane ramblings.
If you want to make stuff up go and write a kids book.
GO AWAY
Hey Shak,ok I agree with you about buying a fleet, good point.
I agree with “ur far too snobby ” about wheelnut,GO AWAY and soil some other website.
Achooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
*****PRIMO********
I agree
Yes it has been wonderful reading intelligent stuff instead of the repetitive nonsense coming from wheelibin.
Totaly agree.
Why wasn’t he or she banned forever ?
Nice musclecar though.
Yes, GO away wheelnut.
My parent are rich enough to buy a fleet of these cars.
Who let the dogs out ?
Complete with thier nuts.
I need one of these cars, I dont just want one, I need one real soon .
Even I stay away these days as I now realise I am a waste of space.
So why cant you Wheelnut.
Go-on,sod off
I must say that it has been nice not to have rustynuts on board.I usually just skip past his nonsense anyway.
Love the Camaro, will be putting my order in when the next consignment of gear is sold.
I undo nuts.
Love the car, when can I get one.
Where can I get 1.
What a bunch of whingers.
Welcome back Wheelnut.
How many of those whingers above are actually unique visitors and how many are all the same pathetic individual?
Judging by the time of the postings it looks like it’s all the same person…
Camaro………a wanna-be Mustang. Has never had and will never have the street cred and legend of a Mustang. This new styling is nowhere as good as the new ’stang…….nice try but not up to it. another second rate car from the bankrupt losers at GM.
Saw one in red yesterday..very nice but it wasn’t a V8..
Something with a supercharger..
They’re asking 55.000 Euros for the “SS” ova here…..
I see it’s school holidays again…
Wheelnut, please go and stay away.
Absolutely Richo
If GM are going to make a limited run of 100 Camaros in RHD for the UK why can’t they make another 100 or so for Australia?
Afterall if it wasn’t for Holden [and their Design team] the Camaro would never have seen the light of day
Allergic to nuts and missiles {}{} TM
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE GO AWAY
You’ve been asked nicely…..
