What do you mean put it on a diet? Its the sort of technology that is used in F1, i wouldnt call it a diet i’d call it beefing up the barbarian. KERS uses free energy, so i reckon bring it on! But agreed with the cylinder deactivation, thats more a marketing gymick than anything else. Its going to be absolutely insane yet sedate enough to blend in while picking up milk at the shop.

Why bother trying to put a monster on a diet? If it’s made for performance, sure, make more KW with less fuel, but KER and cylinder deactivation? It makes no sense.

I’ve always been into BMW cars and this makes me more love it and impressed. Anything that would make car powerful or super fast is definitely intriguing,KERS sounds cool.

The obvious.. they should put down the extra power to the 2/4 front wheels rather than squeezing tons of power to the 2/4 rear wheels and try to tame the wheelspin ~

BMW can’t even get KERS working that well on an F1 budget… sounds a bit suspect. Hopefully they can fix their gearbox issues, those SMG’s were just utter rubbish, especially when compared to E-gear, Ferrari’s F1, AMG’s 7MCT speedshift. Wrong car for that style of gearbox. BMW’s DSG so far hasn’t been as bad but I’ve seen a few issues…8 gears sounds intriguing but perhaps overkill… Where do we draw the line for too many gears?

The current M5 is my favourite car. Ever. This one may just top it. Although I have to say, I do have more of a soft-spot for the naturally aspirated engines, there’s just something pure about them. The V10 twin blower will be a ball ripper though, no doubt.

The german hipo cars are already ballistic. This will just add to it. The current M5 is already quicker then most supercars.

The M badge still rules over the audi’s RS and Merc’s AMG.
