Aston Martin Vulcan to debut in Geneva, will be a track-only car – UPDATE

The Vulcan was announced overnight via a teaser video (above), which features the sound of roaring engines and stylised imagery of race tracks whooshing by.

Although there's no official information yet, our sources, as well as reports elsewhere, have indicated that the Vulcan will be a track-only supercar. The car should be the most extreme production vehicle to wear the storied badge and has reportedly been inspired by the brand's racing history.

Production will be strictly limited, with numbers 30 and below being touted.

Being a track-only car, the Vulcan will likely be fitted with a roll cage and feature a stripped down interior with elements tailored to suit its owner.

Our sources indicate that there will be experience programme attached to the Vulcan. If that's the case, Vulcan ownership may be patterned along the lines of Ferrari's FXX programme and the upcoming McLaren P1 GTR.

In those programmes, the cars are stored and maintained by the manufacturer, with the vehicle made available to owners for specially organised race events.
