BMW UK will this month release the cleanest, most fuel efficient 3 Series it has yet produced in the form of its new 316d ES sedan.
Powered by a (86kW/260Nm) 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine the 316d ES manages 3.74 litres per 100km on the combined cycle while at the same time recording CO2 outputs of just 118g/km.
It’s no slouch either managing the 0-100km/h run in 10.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 201km/h. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
There is no word yet on the potential availability of the 316d ES in Australia.
