Holden Colorado Storm — nameplate returns for special edition

Holden has dusted off the "Storm" nameplate again, this time on the 2015 Holden Colorado ute.

Comprising a bundled kit of accessories, the Holden Colorado Storm adds heated (front) leather seats, black sports and nudge bars, Storm floor mats and bonnet protector — as well as subtle Storm decals — to LTZ 4x4 crew-cab utes.

If purchased individually, the items in the Storm pack add up to more than $3500.

Priced at just $1000 on top of the Colorado's existing $44,990 driveaway offer, the Storm pack appears to represent excellent value. The recommended retail price on the Colorado Storm is $51,490, which means the current driveaway deal offers a saving of more than $7000 based on the list price.

The 2015 Colorado Storm is the latest in a line of special variants of the popular 4x4 ute — following on from the 2013 Thunder, 2014 Black and 2014 Storm editions.

The Storm package will be available through Holden dealers from mid-February.
