Holden Commodore SV6 Lightning special edition here in March
Holden has confirmed its new special edition Commodore will be named SV6 Lightning when it goes on sale in about two months’ time.
The Lightning name was selected from more than 4000 entries and amid vigorous online debate as part of Holden’s ‘Name that Commodore’ Facebook competition earlier this month.
Holden says the Commodore SV6 Lightning will be available in sedan and ute body styles fitted with 20-inch Midnight Silver alloy wheels, a gloss lip spoiler (sedan only), alloy sports pedals, and “a few other things”.
Holden product communications manager Mark Flintoft revealed the SV6 Lightning “will come at a slight premium over the standard SV6”, though exact pricing is still to be confirmed at this stage.
The regular SV6 ute costs $33,490 (manual)/$35,690 (auto) before on-road costs while the SV6 sedan is priced from $36,790 (manual)/$38,990 (auto).
Full details of the Holden Commodore SV6 Lightning will be revealed in the coming weeks.
