Rolls-Royce trimmed Mini on the way
June 17, 2009 by Matt Brogan
Rolls-Royce and Mini, polar opposites of the BMW Group, could be collaborating on a new special “luxury” edition Mini.
The move has said to have come about due to Rolls-Royce’s slowing recession sales and the parent company’s desire to distribute some of the luxury marque’s class across the rest of its line-up.
A prototype (see pics below) has already been built with the super luxury interior said to resemble those once regularly custom fitted to the original Minis more than four decades ago.

the front end pic of that mini is an older generation model… you can tell by the bumper and grill.
Is this like an up market Reebok Astra retrim.
What fantastic way to undermine the image of RR, to badge a mini. Bit like slapping a MG badge on an Austin Metro, or a Vanden Plus badge on a Austin 1800.
It looks nice. At least RR was able to think of something to combat reduction in sales.
i think this is for the small portion of society who thinks the BMW Mini is too inexpensive by itself!
All that white leather. Be a bugga to keep clean.
Ah why not. People spend enough money buying on of these in the first place, what’s a few more pounds?
What’s next? The new Tata Nano by JAG(uar)?
Twilight…you can tell by the headlight, no need to look at grille~
I Agree with DGS,a Veyron is the sort of car that could be timmed by RR,not a mini.
you mean rolls royce phantom owners are going to trade down into a mini???
Are times really that tough?
this is really funny. i like it. An RR thats smaller than an oil tanker.
You can please some people some of the time…………….
what a stupid pointless idea. surely even the fools that only buy minis as fashion acessories aren’t stupid enough to pay $60-70k
what next a maybach smart car!
Way to go BMW, how to destroy the class of RR in one stupid model
