Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R Warrior returns, limited to 300 units

The Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R Warrior has returned for another limited run, with 300 units available.

Mitsubishi says the new Triton GLX-R Warrior adds extra technology and comfort equipment, including a black interior with leather seat trim, six-way power adjustable seat, eight-speaker stereo with amplifier, and the brand's "advanced Multi Communication System" media unit.

The Warrior also gets a differential lock, 17-inch alloy wheels, a nudge bar, soft tonneau cover and Warrior decals. Colour options for the Warrior's paint include Charcoal, Cool Silver, Ironbark or White (pictured).

As with the regular Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R, the Warrior is powered by a 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine producing 131kW of power and 400Nm of torque. It is available with a five-speed manual transmission, or optional five-speed automatic, and is available as a dual-cab four-wheel drive only.

A new version of the Mitsubishi Triton was revealed early this month, with that vehicle expected to arrive here mid-2015.

Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R Warrior national pricing:
Five-speed manual - $43,990 driveaway
Five-speed auto - $45,990 driveaway
