Take the selfie to end all selfies with Tonino Lamborghini

Say you’ve got some automotive exotica in your air-conditioned garage and a Swiss masterpiece on your wrist, but not the smartphone to match.

When that iPhone or Galaxy doesn’t cut it, you can always look into the limited-run 88 Tauri, taker of “the most luxurious selfie in the world”. Their words, not ours...

Why is a car site writing about phones, you ask? Well this phone is made by Tonino Lamborghini and comes with a certain famous Raging Bull badge affixed.

Alas, it’s not quite the same Lamborghini. Tonino, owner of the brand named for him, is the son of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A founder Ferruccio, but while the Audi-VW AG Group now owns the supercar maker, the designer phone/watch/sunglasses brand is a separate entity.

The 88 Tauri phone goes on sale later this month, and features very Lamborghini-esque masculine angular design, and is finished with leather and slabs of steel.

Inside, it will apparently come with a 5.0-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of memory, a 20-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera and a 3400 mAh battery.

Each of the 1947 limited edition devices will also cost about $US6000 ($A7300).
