Fiat Professional dedicated to dealer and service expansion in Australia

It's been an interesting month over at Fiat Chrysler Group.

Changes in core staff and a new CEO are often challenging for a manufacturer, but speaking at the launch of the 2015 Fiat Ducato and new Fiat Doblo yesterday, FCA's new director of corporate communications Lucy McLellan said that the multi-branded group is looking very much to the future.

The Fiat Professional commercial brand, for instance, has been active in Australia since 2012 and now comprises three models - the mid-range Scudo, revised large Ducato and new entry level Doblo.

With year-on-year growth over 15 per cent, Fiat Professional is aiming to increase that number for 2105 and is investing in the commercial brand accordingly.

Speaking with CarAdvice at the launch, director of sales Bob Graczyk said that FCA has appointed a dedicated sales team for both individual and fleet buyers of the light-commercial range.

There is a specific focus on regional areas in both sales and technical arenas, giving better support to RV/Motorhome vehicles built on the Ducato chassis as well as fleet partners operating in the logistics space.

Fiat Professional has expanded from 18 to 50 dealers nationally and has still further growth planned.
