Mercedes-Benz celebrates 2014 F1 Championship win with special edition SL63 AMGs
Mercedes-Benz has celebrated its 701-point 2014 Formula 1 constructors' championship win with a pair of special edition SL63 AMG roadsters.
Both Mercedes-Benz drivers, Nico Rosberg and 2014 F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, had input in the development of the cars.
Called the World Championship 2014 Collectors Edition, the cars are mechanically identical to the standard 436kW/900Nm SL63 AMG.
The Lewis Hamilton version is black with gold highlights and features the English driver's home Silverstone circuit on the key fob, special badge and floor mats.
Rosberg's white and silver car showcases the German Hockenheim Ring, and also features the 2014 F1 World Championship runner up's signature on the dash.
Hamilton celebrated the reveal of the car with a burnout - to cheers, rather than jeers when he tried the same stunt in Melbourne in 2010.
Both cars are limited to just 19 units worldwide - signifying the number of races in the 2014 Formula 1 World Championship.
There is no word yet on whether any will make it to Australia.
