Come on the yanks think diesel is what you run semis on. They are not intelligent enough to realise a car can have a diesel donk. There will never be a diesel engine in in a USA marketed Cadillac.

Shak, Caddy has had Cross over /SUV's, rebadged Chev/GMC things.
Wheelnut, Northstar was a Great motor in the early ninties, but is begining to age. Also you have to wait till 2015 to even come close to getting it in a Commodore as it is Transverse mount, FWD specific.

I think these would have both looked fantastic and contemporary two years ago, but I don't think the design will age well.

Lutz said there is no market for a sports wagons (in regards of the commodore sports wagon being exported to the US).
No wonder he jumped off the ship.

The wagon is yuk, the SUV is a keeper. Certainly more of a looker than the Captiva anyway. Time for GM to put the ''SHARING" back into platform sharing and give Holden a high end SUV. Or any SUV. A real SUV. I don't know if there is much of a case for GM to establish Caddy as a separate brand here, I think trimming the profit margins and selling more models is potentially a better business model.

says Steve Shannon, “... with Cadillac’s signature design and technical features....”

I wonder if this includes the signature handling characteristics inclusive of no less than the required nine full turns of the steering wheel lock to lock?

The Cadillac Sport Wagon looks terrible if you compare it to what Holden has done with the VE Commodore. Calais V in black with 20" wheels make any CTS look pretty poor.

Just like all the other current Caddies these 2 are also absolutley hideous

I believe that Inorder to survive GM should start looking at designing and building cars have more international appeal - which is one thing Caddy lacks.

The ony really decent thing Caddilac has to offer is its AWD system and the Small Block "Northstar" V8 both of which I would love to see make their way into the Next generation Commodore.
