The prohibitive cost of running one now (due to their age and rareness here) killed that dream ($1000+ water pumps anyone???). Since then Porsche has had no real suitable replacement for me and now they do...but, they will sell a bucketload of these to brand-conscious posers...of course until VW bring a cheaper V6 version that looks better (Cayenne-Touareg).
