No Insignias - thats because Phillip the Insignia was only launched in late 2008/early 2009. Given that it takes about 6-8weeks to get a car then they would not have sen many anyway.
According to the SMMT (UK traders association) in the UK GM sold 3262 Insignias last month against Fords Mondeo of 2356. Year to date figures are 12994 v 11319 respectively.
Also the top 10 best sellers are as follows Focus, Fiesta ,Corsa ,Golf , Astra, Insignia, 207, A3, Mondeo, Zafira....As you see there are 4 of 10 cars built by Opel. How wrong you are. I visit Fance and Spain yearly and generally the vast majority of cars are PSA group, Opel, Renault or VW/Audi. Depending where you are in that order. So all your guessing is indeed incorrect old bean.

Looks like I've struck a chord Cupid, but the fact is that despite Vauxhall selling in ok numbers in the UK, Opel in Europe does rather poorly, which each model selling significantly below its generally more expensive Ford competitor. This is basically because Opel is a bit of a joke brand in Europe, a bit like Seat. During 3 months of this year that I spent in Italy, France and Switzerland I actually never saw an Insignia. Not one!

Phillip, most opels have been like that, they were widely praised by the press when released and wins a bunch of awards, but a year or two later they are largely forgotten and no one buys them.

If the new Astra is anything like the new Corsa and Insignia, it will cause some slight ripples in the European market when first launched and then sell poorly.

What a shame we may never see it on our roads.
I wonder if Holden will market its replacement as Korean made the way they market the Astra as a European car...LOL

Not that I have anything against Korean cars, just Daewoo's and the majority of Kia's.
