I'm driving a 2007 Micra... We call it March here. It drives great and is a real chuckable car ard corners. Love it so much and you won't miss it when you park it in a shopping mall car park among the usual slabs. A pity the latest model is costing like A$70,000 over here in my country if not I'd have changed to one even if it's made in Thailand...

I am a proud owner of the Micra!! I disliked it at first and I really wanted to get a mini cooper but after seeing the cost of upkeep and insurance, I chose the micra. Who are you to complain and bash the Micra? Let me guess. You're probably going to use Daddys money on your luxury car and shopping. I needed a cute, small car to get me from A to B. After you realise that money does not come out of your ass, you learn that having 'brand-names' and labels do not matter. Cotton is cotton and a car is a car.

thanks joe, am tossing up whether to get rid of a lemon of a ford focus I bought new because it is always broken and I fell in love with my micra hire car. I was worried about the safety on long drives but your comments clear that up - and the above comment about the star safety criteria. I totally love the look of it - it is a cute "Noddy" car that psycho tailgaters can't get aggressive with because it is so funny.

As a girl living in Sydney I have to say I absolutely adore this car. I actually like it's look - it's cute, manageable and as a first learning car.. Why not?

I'm surprised you have the time to drive - surely your spelling lessons occupy all of your spare time?

As to the Micra being "unsmashable", well, I'm guessing that by now you've proven otherwise.

I had a car that was written off. It was a Mitsubishi Mirage 2001, manual. Although I haven't been paid out for the car yet, I am expecting the payout will not pay out the loan. I haven't had the car for very long.

I went looking for another car. I wanted an automatic, 4 doors, SAFE and newer than the mirage. I saw the Nissan Micra and it fits all of those and it's CHEAP. I would have prefered a 1.8 and this is 1.4 but oh well. I can't say I would have found a better deal anywhere else considering the circumstances I am in. I was very comfortable in the car when I took it for a test drive.

That is BS, Nissans along with toyotas are the most reliable cars, I have seen nissan pulsars with over 800,000km on the odo run and never had a problem, mine is on over 245,000km and has not had a single problem.
